Trying to get together with the girls to decide on what to wear to our first bout against Spindletop Rollers in Beaumont Texas on April 11th! I vote for silver hot pants!

I’ve been out of derby for a month now! It’s torture! Still go to open skates and what not, but I feel so out of shape. A few months ago I did my 25 laps in 5 minutes, well I made it in 4:45 which is awesome! I did it last week, just to see where I was, my time Was 4:52!! I know its not much of a difference. But considering many things, like the fact that i’ve become more comfortable with crossing over the entire rink, I should’ve been faster or atleast around the same time. But it’s totally my fault, this past month that i’ve been out I havent done anything at all. But i’m finally back this month. I managed to scrounge together enough money to pay fees. Just in time too, our first bout is April 11th against Beaumont, tx! Although I have passed all minimum requirements and our coaches own advanced skills. I still need to work on hip checks, big time. I can deliver such a heavy shoulder check, but my hip checks are weak!

I suppose thats it for now.
